Baltimore police have updated their account of Monday’s triple shooting in Northwest Baltimore, and the update changes the story in two hard ways.
When officers first described the shooting, they placed it on Muth Avenue and said one man had died and two others were stable. In an updated release, the department now says the shooting happened on the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road — and that a second man has died.
The three men shot were 21, 24, and 30 years old. The 24-year-old died Monday. The 30-year-old, who police initially listed among the wounded, has also died. The 21-year-old is the only survivor.
We are correcting our original story’s location and ages to match the department’s updated release, and we are noting the change openly instead of quietly rewriting it — because the families of two men who died deserve the record straight.
No arrests have been announced, no suspect description has been released, and police have not named the men who died. Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
